The little tabs at the side of the nippas are not for pulling on. They are for folding over the teeth when the nippa is not in use to stop it catch on things (however most people don't ever both to do this as they are always in use). Hold the main tab and pull from there not the straps and you won't have a problem.

I was happy when I saw these were the same price as the usual fasteners I buy, so I thought I'd give them a go as they are the well known brand. When I opened up the parcel they were lovely shades of yellow and gold not the red, white, and blue I was expecting. The elastic is very strong and a little thicker but that's where the good points end.
The teeth on these are rubbish. Only one or two spikes catch on the fabric despite pushing them in and across when attaching them to our terries, and they end up coming undone. These nippas probably work great for a baby but not my active toddler. When they undo while shes playing, her nappy looks like a droopy disposable!
I'm disappointed and won't be buying these again.

I do wish these were a little cheaper but The Nappy Lady has one of the best prices for them that I've seen... saying that I'm very glad I bought them as they've opened up so many folding options when using muslins.

Ordered an extra pack of these for my newborn. They offer a secure fastening for both my newborn and toddler on a range of nappies. Allows me to turn any fabric into a nappy by quickly folding and fastening onto my baby.

I first used a similar product 30 years ago on my children when shaped nappies were a new thing, I remember it being fiddly and difficult to use but such a good idea. I got these as the velcro fastening on my granddaughter's nappies doesn't always hold. They are excellent, so easy to use and hold the nappies in place perfectly.

I found the nappi nippa a little difficult for the first handful for attempts but picked it up in no time - even as a total novice! It really does tailor the nappy to each baby and their unique shape.

I was using these nippas with bubblebubs BIG and was struggling with it. It wouldnt hold to the nappy some times even would get loose under the wrap. I tried to press it harder so it would go deeper into cloth but it was taking a lot of time and most of the time it wouldnt help. Switched to liitle lamb nappi nippas and its perfect!

Use on fitted cotton nappies (similar to bumbles) and they hold in place without loosening. Also used on terries flats and holds in place.

Is exactly what I expected and needed... might be nice to have a choice of colours? But they go under the wrap, so really it’s not important..! Very nice, and came very quickly. Great product (as all nappy lady products are!)

I love the terries/nippas/pull-up wrap system for my toddler who can unfasten any popper or Velcro nappy fastening faster than I can fasten it! He has figured out how to unclip the nippa but fortunately is quite slow at it so so far I have been able to cover it with the wrap in time! These ones are a bit small for us (we get on better with little lamb nippas).

Fiddly to use and don’t always stay in place at all three points of contact. Much prefer nappies with popper fastenings that don’t require the use of this. (Eg Anavey)

Happy with these but one of the white teeth came out in one after a couple of uses so was left with two usable ones so had to buy more annoyingly. They were easy to use as had never tried before so wasn't sure.

The nappi nippa does the job of holding the nappy on well. It has never fallen off from the sides of the nappy, but sometimes comes off at the bottom, perhaps because it takes some nerve to stretch the nappy and put those fearsome looking claws on! Nevertheless, madly stayed in place.

We used nippas with muslins when baby was newborn and they were great. All the midwives in hospital were very impressed with the modern alternative to nappy pins! Only problem is that one of them snapped. Still useable but a bit awkward.

Fab for fastening terries! My only piece of advice would be to keep them away from small hands as they are sharper than I expected (but far safer than a pin in my opinion). Easy to use once you know how.
