Bamboo Muslins Overview

Little Bamboo is a leading Australian brand. Their muslins are exceptionally soft so ideal for use next to baby's delicate skin. The bamboo fibres are breathable and have excellent wicking properties to draw moisture. Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and less susceptible to clinging odours.

Little Bamboo muslin squares are the perfect baby accessory.  Have one at hand at all times and don't worry they wash over and over and over again without becoming hard and scratchy. No loose fibres, easy to wash and quick to dry (although not quite as quick as the cotton ones we sell).

How do I use it?

  • Burp Cloths
  • Comforters
  • Drying baby's bottom after a nappy change
  • Mopping up

Some parents use Little Bamboo muslins as newborn nappies however the bamboo fabric is far more delicate than our cotton range and is far more prone to pulling threads with a Nappi Nippa. If you are looking to use Muslin nappies then our MuslinZ range are a better choice as they are made of cotton and withstand the use of a Nappi Nippa much better.

Care Instructions

  • Wash with non bio detergent. 
  • Cold hand or machine wash at 30. 
  • Do not use fabric softener. 
  • Line dry in shade or part tumble dry on low.

Little Bamboo Care Guide

  • Prewash nappy twice before first use and a low spin speed
  • Wash dark colours separately
  • Wash with non-bio powder
  • No harsh stain removers or bleach.
  • No fabric softeners. They will reduce absorbency.
  • Wash temperature according to garment label
  • Ideally line dry only

Little Bamboo Warranty

Manufacturing faults are covered for 6 months from purchase date not first use of the product. Most manufacturing faults will show up within the first couple of wears/washes

If you think you have a faulty item contact The Nappy Lady and we will liaise with Little Bamboo on your behalf to process your warranty claim.


Little Bamboo's decision on any warranty claim is final.

Excellent for smaller babies

These muslins are absolutely beautiful. Supersoft and lively on babies skin. The only downside is that I find them a bit small for larger babies

Nice burp clothes, care instructions not compatible with being nappies

They are very soft and have continued to be so after a few rounds in the machine with woolite detergent.

I was originally planning on using these as an inner layer nappy, but the weave is very delicate and I'm very sceptical that a 30'C delicate wash cycle is hygienic.

The softest muslins

We have now bought several of these in all sizes as they’re so beautifully soft. Our favourite muslins for wrapping baby in and (in the larger size) lining the moses basket.

Beautiful muslins! I haven’t got to use them yet but they’ve washed well for their first wash. Quick delivery as usual.

I really like these muslins for newborn nappies. They’re so soft, much softer than my Muslinz ones, and they’re easier to fit on a teeny baby because of it. They just seem much more comfortable as well.

These are 100% bamboo and squishy soft like a cloud (much more than those bamboo/cotton blends). I just wish these were double layered for some extra absorbency!

These are amazingly soft even after washing many times in a hard water area and air drying. I love them! I use them as burp cloths, not as nappies as the material is too delicate to use a nappy nippa on.

Super soft muslins

Really happy with these muslins. They’re a decent size and are so soft, so much nicer than other ones I’ve had before. Excellent value too, considering you get ten in a pack.
