Bambeasy Nappy Overview

The Bambeasy Birth to Potty nappy is just the same cut as the wonderful Bumble nappy but it's made of soft bamboo and is a more absorbent alternative.

The Bambeasy is made from soft bamboo with a sewn in liner of fleece that sits next to your baby’s skin. Because the whole inner is fleece lined it is especially good if you live in a very hard water area and you have problems keeping clothes etc soft. Due to the fleece liner you do not need to use separate paper liners with this nappy but you can if you prefer. The paper liner would sit on top of the fleece liner.

This is also a very absorbent nappy, excellent as a night nappy or for a heavy wetter. You may find a heavy wetter will need an extra booster for night time. Because of the opening, the Bambeasy can also be stuffed with extra absorbency if required (in addition to or instead of the pop in pad, depending on how much absorbency is needed).  The addition or removal of additional layers makes it quite a versatile nappy for bulking up or slimming down according to circumstance/clothing.

The Bambeasy is particularly suitable for tall or well-built children due to the generous cut and crotch depth. This isn't considered a particularly slim nappy in comparison to some of the newer nappies on the market however it's one that I find very realiable.

Fastening

The Bambeasy is available in popper fastening only as bamboo fabric is not suitable for use with nappi nippas.

Sizing

The Bambeasy is a very cleverly designed birth to potty nappy. This makes the Bambeasy very economical as you only need one nappy rather than having to keep buying different sizes. When the Bambeasy is changed into the smaller newborn setting (from 10lbs) the fit is still snug on small legs and waist.

How to use

The Bambeasy comes with a pop in inner booster pad (included in the price), which pops onto a flap inside the nappy, so as not to disturb the smooth line. To use as a newborn nappy, the pop in pad should be removed and the loose flap you are left with should be taken up inside the nappy to reduce the crotch depth. You can then attach the poppers on the flap to the matching poppers part way down the crotch (on the inside) if you wish, though this is not essential and you may find it better not to if you need slightly more length in the nappy - it depends on the shape of your baby. If using the popper fastening as a birth to potty nappy you may need to use a Nappi Nippa for a short period at first as the popper placement is not always quite right on a smaller baby.

Fabric

Bamboo fabric is more absorbent than cotton and also anti-bacterial. Bamboo fabric does take a long time to dry and I find that the Bambeasy is incredibly slow drying (takes days to dry on an airer!).  Bamboo can be tumble dried on low but if you can avoid tumble drying it's much better for the longevity of the nappy. Bamboo fabric is softer than cotton however it does still go harder over time. I've had a Bambeasy in use for 3 years and it's not any softer than my cotton bumbles, I do find it more absorbent though. You must weight up the drying time versus the absorbency when choosing between the two nappies.

Best for chunky legs compared to bamboozle stretch!

After persisting with tots bots stretch.. I much prefer these nappies for our nighttime.Poppers mean quiet if I did need a change.. so very soft and much kinder on her thighs (was getting rubbing from the velcro on stretch bamboozle). I keep venturing further from the all in one systems and loving learning more about what works for us.We now prefer the disana wool wraps over motherease (again the chunky thighs) keeping her warm and zero marks on her legsHappy baby happy mummy

So soft and keep baby’s bottom dry

Really pleased with these - have been using on both my 7 week old and 18mo overnight and they’ve been great. Really absorbent, super soft and the fleece lining keeps their bottoms nice and dry.
I was surprised that they fit my 7 week old (unboosted and with a small airflow) so well considering they also fit my 18mo. Really simple two popper design to make them smaller.
Great to addition to my overnight stash (also using bumhuggers and bamboozle).

bambeasy - my favourite night nappy

These are my fave night nappy as all fleece lined so no fear of a wet bum! And they are bamboo throughout, no microfibre core etc. I boost with 2 thick hemp inserts plus the bamboo insert it comes with. Found them a better fit than the bamboozle which I could never boost enough and still fit a wrap around it. They are easier to boost more while still fitting a chubby chubster. They do take a long time to dry . I have 4 and dry them hanging over the fan of our dehumidifier. That way they are dry overnight.

i love this nappy

I ordered a bunch of little lambs and bumgenius originally. I found I favoured the pockets due to their inbuilt stay dry lining as I hated the thought of little one being wet in the little lambs. The downside being that my little boy is a heavy wetter and the pockets were becoming ridiculously bulky to meet the necessary absorbency

However these nappies are brilliant! They have the absorbency of a 2 parter, in fact better than most of the other 2 parters, and an in built fleece lining. I was/am really impressed and intend to order more.

Fit isn't as perfect as with the little lambs or tots bots but I put this down to being poppers rather than velcro and equally we have had any leaks so the fit must be fine x

Easy Peasy Bambeasy

I’ve started using these on my tall toddler as they seem to be a bit longer than some of the other nappies. I really like them, had no leaks even overnight, but because they are fleece lined they keep my babies skin lovely and dry.
They are a bit bulkier than totsbots bamboozles, but have the fleece lining which the bamboozles do not.
