Bubba Flatz Preflat Overview

Bubba Flatz Preflat Nappy is a beautiful and absorbent preflat nappy that is handmade in Wales. The Bubba Flatz Preflat is made with their best selling highly absorbent Tencel fabric which is renown for it's exceptional softness. Our Nappy Lady team couldn't believe how soft the nappy was when they tried it, it's really quite unlike any other fabric.

Bubba Flatz preflat is a generously sized One Size nappy that is altered to fit from birth to potty.  When Bronya the owner behind Bubba Flatz designed her preflats she wanted to ensure she designed them to last and were a true one size nappy.  Bronya says "There's nothing more frustrating buying a product that you believe will grow with your baby and it doesn't! You won't need to buy a new stash, the trick here on sizing is all in the way you fold my preflat"

Bubbz Flatz preflat is made with Two layers of highly absorbent stretchy Tencel jersey with an outer stretchy cotton print. A small amount of Elastane is used in both layers which allows for a small amount of stretch in the fabric which allows you to get a fabulous snug and perfect fit.

The Bubba Flatz Preflat opens out wide which means it dries quicker than "fitted" nappies which have all their layers sewn together. This drying speed makes them a great option if you have limited drying facilities but still want natural fabrics.

What is a preflat nappy?

Preflats are an old style of cloth nappy that has come back to the market in the United Kingdom after a long absence. The original Preflat washable nappies we used nearly 20 years ago have long since disappeared from the nappy market. Preflats reusable nappies are a flat piece of fabric that is cut so there are wings and a narrower piece between the legs. Imagine a T shape. The nappy is then simply folded to make it the correct length for your baby. They are made with stretchy material and held in place with a Nappi Nippa.

If you love the idea of using flat nappies but you're put off by all the folding then preflat nappies could be the answer for you.

Size

Nappy is approximately 50cm x 47cm - Please note that there can be some variability as this is a handmade product.

One Size fits 8-35lbs approximately.

The One Size saves you the cost of buying newborn size nappies.

How do I use it?

1. Fold the Bubba Flatz preflat the required width
2. Fold down the end to make the required length
3. Secure the nappy on baby using a Nappi Nippa
4. Cover with a waterproof wrap. Our favourite choices would be Motherease Airflow or Petite Crown One Size Keepers.

For an older child a booster can be folded between the layers to give additional absorbency.

• Printed Outside: One Layer of 95% Cotton 5% Elastane

Tencel Modal fibers are produced from sustainably sourced Beech trees by an environmentally responsible process.

Care Instructions

• Wash at 40 degrees,
• Maximum spin 1000,
• Do not tumble dry,       
• No bleach,
• No fabric softener,
• Do not Iron, 
• Reshape when wet
