Toddle-Ease General Overview

The Toddle-Ease fitted Nappy is world famous for its great absorbency, leak-proof design and ease of washing!

Toddle-Ease nappies are a two part system. The Toddleease is the absorbent nappy part and over the top you will need to put a separate waterproof wrap/cover. The most popular wrap to use is the Mother-ease Airflow wrap or the Mother-ease Rikki.

Toddle-Ease are one of the few fitted nappies on the market that has gentle elastics at the front and back at the waist. All round waist elastic increases containment and ensures the optimum fit. Leg openings are also fully elasticated to ensure poos remain contained no matter the consistency or poonami. Mother-ease also use the highest quality never fail elastics

Toddle-Ease fasten using poppers on the side of the nappy allow you to adjust the waist and leg settings independently making them ideal if your baby has a slim waist and chubby legs or vice versa.  The side poppers are also ideal for tummy sleepers as there is nothing to dig into baby on the front.

Toddle-Ease are a generous length and stretchy making them suitable for the vast majority of children including those taller than average or chunky monkeys.  Slimmer children fit in them well but will stay in the smaller width settings for longer.

The stretch terry fabric and popper fastenings mean that some people like to use it as a trainer pull-up pant but with the added advantage of the full absorbency of a proper nappy.

Sizing

Toddlease fits 35lbs+

How do I use it?

Inside the Toddle-Ease you use a separate liner to make cleaning pooey nappies easier. The nappy liner can be either disposable paper liner or a reusable fleece.

When you come to change the nappy you will reuse the cover and just change the inner Toddle-Ease nappy (and liner).  The Toddlease nappy can also be used for night time, you will extra absorbency provided by an additional booster, the Sandys Booster is the perfect choice.

Toddlease nappies can be tumble dried on low but preferably air dried.

Nappy Fabric

Natural Cotton Terry- dense 85% cotton inner, 15% polyester

Mother-ease's natural fabrics contain a small percentage of polyester in the core of the fabric and this polyester never touches your babies delicate skin. Mother ease's fabrics are custom knit specifically for them and include a poly core for shrinkage control + durability - as a natural fabric that has to endure this many washes would wear out too quickly using only 100% cotton

Toddlease Dry with a built in staydry liner is found on it's own separate product page.

How is a Toddlease Dry different to cotton Toddlease?

Toddlease Cotton and Toddle-ease Dry are both made of the same natural cotton terry and are identical in their leak proof design apart from one key difference.

  • The Toddle-ease Dry is fully lined inside with the high tech Mother-ease Stay Dry lining.
  • The in built stay dry lining means baby will be kept dry at every part of the nappy
  • Even in hard water the Toddle-ease Dry liner will remain soft against the skin
  • Sandy's Dry removes the need to use a separate nappy liner.
  • Original Cotton Toddle-ease allows the child to feel wetter which helps potty training
  • The Stay dry liner in polyester so if you prefer all natural products stick with the Original Cotton Toddle-ease

Mother-ease Care Guide

Initial Wash

  • Add no more than 10-12 nappies to your washer & dryer in each initial wash. Remember to check your lint screen before each wash & dry.
  • Set your washing machine to a full wash cycle with a large size load for 10-12 nappies (smaller if less nappies). Use only HOT water.
  • Add your detergent - see detergent disclaimer.
  • Line dry or machine dry the diapers on a medium heat setting.

Regular washing

  • Be sure to wash your cloth nappies at least every other day. If the soiled nappies are stored longer, run them through the initial rinse cycle and toss back into your nappy pail. (Tip - you can add 1/2 oz of laundry detergent to the rinse cycle to start cleaning sooner.)
  • Use your washing machines normal wash cycle and set the water temperature to hot. Use a large load size (for 12-18 soiled nappies + covers) and add the detergent manufacturers recommended amount of detergent. Then let the machine take care of the rest!  (Tip - running the diapers through an extra rinse creates unnecessary wear and over the 2 1/2 years of use, you will reduce the longevity of your diapers). (Tip 2 - Select your washing machines Sanitary Cycle for even hotter water if you can.)
  • Once your nappies have finished the wash cycle, it's time to dry them. You can either line or machine dry them;

Line Drying - hang to dry in your basement or outside on the line. (Tip - Sun naturally removes stains. Even works on a cold, winters day as long as the sun is out

Machine Drying - Toss in your dryer on medium heat (low for covers). (Tip - Tossing line dried diapers into your dryer for a short cycle will fluff them up but tumbling action adds additional wear)

*Coloured diapers may bleed and should be washed accordingly

Mother-ease Warranty

Mother-ease offers a lifetime warranty on our Snaps and Elastics.
This warranty is for the reasonable lifetime of the diaper. This does not cover slight relaxing of elastics.

Mother-ease offers a 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on our:
Sandys,  Fitted Diapers, One Size Fitted Diapers, Wizard Duo Inserts, Reusable Nursing Pads, Baby Wipes, Absorbent Liners and Wizard Boosters.

This covers product stitching, seams and fabric holes discovered immediately upon receipt of item. This does not include normal wear and tear, slight variances in snap placement, odour issues, pilling, leaks, staining, repelling and holes or tears in the fabric or loose stitching due to wash routine or regular use.

Mother-ease offers a 6-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on our:
Diaper covers, Wizard Uno's, Big Kid Training Pants and Bedwetter Pants.

This covers product stitching, seams, holes discovered upon arrival, and irregular deformity. This does not cover staining, fading, slight variances in snap placement, leaks, pilling, holes or tears in fabric or loose stitching that develop due to wash routine or regular use (items caught, torn or melted in the washer/dryer).

This warranty is available only to the original purchaser from the date of purchase.

All warranty is null and void when products containing harsh solvents such as hydrogen peroxide (oxygen bleach), sodium percarbonate or optical brighteners are used.

When washing your covers Mother-ease recommend you wash them in a mesh bag to keep them away from Velcro on your nappies and from getting caught in washing machine doors.  Always secure the Velcro on your wraps so they don't stick to the binding in the wash.
Please contact us if you think you have a faulty product and need to claim under the Mother-ease warranty. We will liaise with Mother-ease for you. Mother-ease will require any product to be returned or destroyed before a replacement.

The manufacturer may ask for proof of which detergent you have been using during the period you've had the item so we strongly recommend you keep your receipts you can prove you've been washing following the supplier's guidelines.  A photo of the detergent box and a photo of the detergent ingredients will be needed plus receipts of detergent purchases in the time you have owned the faulty nappies (usually 1 or 2 receipts showing purchases across the previous 6 months).  If you have bought Mother-ease's detergent through us during the time you've used the nappies please let us know and we'll have all your receipts already on record for you.

Mother-ease decision on any warranty claim is final.

Good but too big for the XL wraps
Rating:
28 October 2021  |

We bought these to try and solve our nightime leaks. Sadly, although these nappies are great, the XL wraps just dont seem to go all the way around. My little one is under the top weight for the LG wraps but even on the last setting they dig in her legs so much that the red marks stay for most of the day so we had to move up to the XL. Being the largest wrap I assumed the toddlease would fit under but we just cant seem to get it all to stay in. Maybe we are doing something wrong and others get on with them fine, but for now, our search continues.

Excellent for night time!

17 July 2021  |

We started using the toddlease nappies after my twins were 18 months as their previous night time nappies just couldn't cut it. These nappies were a godsend. The containment and absorbancy was amazing and with an airflow wrap we no longer have any leaks at all!

Come back for more night nappies

I got some second hand toddle ease and I’m back for some more. They’re brilliant night nappies. I don’t usually want elasticated gussets but I find it’s necessary to keep poo in, away from wool wraps!

Solution to reflux during weaning
Rating:
10 June 2021  |

Our baby vomited his food up constantly. It was particularly an issue during changing time when he would roll and vomit at the same time. Any pressure on his tummy was an issue. We changed to these super flexible and comfy nappies and almost instantly the reflux/ vomiting stopped. Thank you for brilliant advice on what to buy.

We’re back in reusables!

Wish I’d found these sooner. Gave up reusables when tots bots bamboozles got a bit tight and washing machine broke. However couldn’t bear throwing all those Disposable nappies in the bin. These are toddle ease are great. Haven’t leaked yet and dry much quicker than the bamboozles so we are hardly using disposables with only 6 of these.

Brilliant nappies as usual from motherease. My nappies frayed at the edges in the wash. Keep them away from Velcro fastenings and on a low spin speed.

Brilliant for older toddler

My little one is 36lbs, average build but tall at 2 1/2. After outgrowing all our btp I needed a different solution. I tried size 2 Bambinex, size 3 Bamboozles as well as toddle ease. Although they all work these are my favourite - they wash and dry well and are absorbent enough for overnight with a large Sandys booster despite being the cotton version and not bamboo.

Night time nappy solution
Rating:
30 August 2019  |

We use these for my 14 month old. He is fairly big for his age and decided to opt for toddlease over large sandys and I'm glad we did.
They last the whole night through and easy enough to add extra absorbency if needed. We have been using a motherease airflow over the top in xl but an xl rikki or petit lulu pull up xl also fits. We are about to start using disana wool wrap with it too as I like the idea of re wearing it without needing lots of different wraps.
The toddlease is soft and absorbent and appears very comfortable for my baby. We mostly just use these at night time now.

Motherease Toddlease
Rating:
09 November 2018  |

These are good, but I very much disagree that they are suitable for 35lb+. My boy is 15kg (33lb) and by the time you have added a booster for night time, we are on the loosest setting already. We’re going to have to try thinner boosters, but I don’t know what we’ll use if he out-grows these.
