What is a poo knife?

You may have heard "poo knife" or "Shatula" mentioned from families using reusable nappies. So what is it and is it essential?
A Poo Knife is a dedicated knife, palette knife or spatula used for scraping poo off a reusable nappy directly into the toilet bowl for simple clean-ups. This a specific knife or spatula (i'd recommend you label it) that you keep in your bathroom. The Nappy Lady Poo Knife is approx 25cm long in total.
Steps To Using a Poo Knife
- Write on it that it's a poo knife so it doesn't make it's way back to the kitchen utensils drawer!
- Keep in your bathroom perhaps in the toilet brush holder.
- Once you start lifing the poo with the poo knife it often peels away from the nappy easily.
- Your Poo Knife can be easily cleaned with toilet paper and then a anti bacterial spray.
