Little Lamb Pocket Nappies are an economical pocket nappy but one that is still very well designed. The nappy is only available in popper fastening. What I really love about the Little Lamb Pocket Nappy is that the popper fastenings are placed vertically just like the Bumgenius. This gives a much more secure fastening than when the poppers are placed in an off set line.

The Little Lamb Pocket nappy comes with a bamboo insert that you fold into 3 and place inside. The bamboo insert is made of a brushed bamboo fabric (ie it doesn't have loops of fabric) this keeps it much softer (it's the same fabric as on their fabulous washable breast pads). I find this nappy to be very absorbent and possibly the most absorbent pocket nappy i've tried.

As with the Little Lamb wraps these do tend to come up quite long so are a particularly good choice for tall babies. You may find if you have a short/average length baby that the nappy is too long at the bottom of the weight range.

Unlike most other pocket nappies these are also available in the large size 3 which fits 35lbs+ so if you have a big baby who has outgrown other main brands such as Bumgenius or Easyfit then try this one.

Little Lamb Care Guide

Store dirty nappies in the nappy pail, separating any washable boosters, inserts or liners and closing the Velcro tabs over on themselves.  When you have a load ready, put them in the washer on a 30˚ wash with half the recommended dose of detergent, give them an extra rinse and air dry. That's all there is to it.

Here are a few tips:

- Dry pail the nappies.
- Soiled nappies should be washed regularly. Do not leave soiled nappies for longer than three days.
- Check the Velcro tabs are closed tightly on the nappies. Wash the wraps with the velcro closed but inside out. Boosters and inserts are best removed from pocket nappies prior to washing.
- We advise washing at 30˚.

The above is all most parents need to know but for the few parents who need it we've included the sum of our knowledge below:

Detergent: In our opinion powder detergents dissolve quicker and rinse better leading to cleaner laundry.

Dosage: We advise starting with half the recommended dose of detergent for the load size and water hardness and working up from there. The amount of detergent needed is dependent on load size, machine type and water hardness. Soft water needs less detergent to be effective and hard water needs more - possibly up to a full recommended dose.

Fabric softener: Do not use fabric softener in your nappy wash - it will coat the fibres and inhibit absorption.

Sanitisers: We do not recommend using sanitisers with your nappy wash. Sanitisers will affect the elastic and Velcro components and shorten the life of your nappies.

Drying: Drying nappies in direct sunshine is best. Placing them by, but not touching, a heat source is effective but do not place them directly on radiators as they may scorch. Avoid using a tumble drier where possible; if you do use a tumble dryer make sure it's on the low heat setting. Do not tumble dry wraps or pocket nappies.

Excellent nappies
Rating:

So far I've tried a good range of different brands (6-8 different ones) and I always come back to these nappies. I love pocket nappies, and these ones just fit great, are absorbent, easy to assemble and use, I've never had a leak with them, they dry quickly, and I love that the inner lining is made of fleece, so we've never had any stains either. Have had these in both size 1, 2 and 3 and always loved them.

Comfortable fit, easy to use

Bought one to try as initially recommended BTP little lambs but baby is small for her age, only 15lbs at 9months old and BTP little lambs leaked. Thought size 1 little lambs would fit better and prevent leaks so have these a try, still some leaks around legs of left on for more than 2-3hours. It’s ok as OH prefers poppers to nippa nappas. Not bought anymore as found little lovebums for my LO better and less leaks after 3-4hours.

Bought these on recommendation from TNL, and I love them.. I purchased more from the LL website as they had a sale on!
Bamboo insert is great and so far is all I've needed for my LO, never had any leaks.
Doesn't take long to dry I have 7 pocket nappies in total and it's plenty to cycle through with washing daily.

Really good fit and the pocketdiaper dries quickly. With a little lamb Bamboo booster it will last about 3 hours on my baby.

I really love this nappy, it’s definitely one of my favourites of my stash. It fits really well around my baby and isn’t as bulky as others I have, the tri-fold gives good absorbency, I’ve managed to get a good 3-4 hours out of it on a good day! It can of course be boosted with extras as needed. I think it’s one of the more comfortable fits too as the material is lovely and soft. I’ll definitely be buying more of these.

Bought these alongside some LL BTPs, and I honestly can't recommend them enough. They fit my skinny-legged 8 week old like a dream. She's 11 weeks now, and we're still on the tightest popper setting, so I anticipate we'll have them for a while! Actually my favourite nappy in our stash

I really rate these nappies. I love the print, the nappy is really good quality and the trifold insert is super absorbent and easy to use. The double gusset means that I’ve never had any leakage with these nappies and they’re excellent value.

Basic cheap pocket nappy
Rating:
18 November 2019  |

I bought a couple of these but haven't ended up using them. The pads they come with to go inside the pockets are very thin and don't have great absorbency . The nappy itself is ok- good elastic and variety of poppers to adjust the fit. Overall it feels like a very basic nappy. At least this is reflected in the price though, so you get what you pay for. Could be a good extra addition if you have other inserts you could use with it.

Great insert, pocket not durable

The bamboo insert is really good. The pocket is less impressive. No leaks and containment all fine. However the fleece lining pilled after one wash and after a few washes it just looks ropey.

Leaking
Rating:
07 May 2019  |

They look great but would not recommend for a chubby baby. Size 2 is tight already on the largest popper setting on a 4 month old (17lb). Also they leak urine from the top and legs despite trying hard to ensure that the nappy is on correctly. They also appear to be be leaking through the pul despite hardly being used and being washed at low temperatures and not tumble dried. The leg elastic has completely gone on two out of 12 originally bought rendering these two completely unusable with no possibility of repair. Very disappointed. Avoid these.
Two stars for the bamboo insert which is fabulous and very absorbent.

These fits perfectly on my three month old girl and seems super comfy. Fitting wise I prefer these to the elemental joy pocket nappies, however I have had leaks with these after 2 hours twice which I never have with the others. So they do need to be boosted for those days when the little ones are feeding a bit extra

Not great
Rating:
01 September 2018  |

Purchased these pocket nappies thinking they were a bargain however it wasn't worth the saving. The waterproofing is terrible, even if the inserts (I use the bamboo ones provided and also add boosters) aren't filling saturated, pee seeps all the way through the nappy. The fit is a little awkward too, not sure what it is but other nappies look much better. Would not recommend or buy again

Slim and simple but not always leakproof for us
Rating:
24 August 2018  |

I like the simplicity of the design of these nappies and the fact that they aren't too bulky for daytime. However I have found that they leak quite frequently when on my baby boy, now 8 months and app. 16lbs. I think this may be because he is quite slender and so I still need to use them on the tightest poppers, and the excess fabric of the taps seem to slide about during wearing. I will perservere though because of their good points, and hope that we will have less leaks when he is a little bigger.

Converted to pockets!
Rating:
19 May 2018  |

Easy to use, easy to wash. These fit my baby boy very well and they are better at handling poo explosions than flips or elemental joys. I have had some leaking at the leg but inthink this was me not fastening the nappy tight enough (as he literally pee right out of the nappy rather than the nappy being saturated. The insert is really absorbant - lasts the night on my 2 month old boy. Hopeing the fit says as good as he gets bigger so I can get the size 2's.

Easy to stuff, very good absorbency, fitting is great. Onky downside: insert shrinks so eventually it's more of a double flkd than trifold. Still good this way too though.

This is great. I was looking for a nappy for my toddler who is tall for his age. His Mios had worn and were now digging in on the hips. This nappy is so soft and looks very comfortable on him. It's not too bulky either. I would like to buy more.

Good from 11 - 15lbs
Rating:
12 February 2016  |

Initially I thought these were great - really easy to use and no leaks. However, when my baby hit the 15lbs mark, they have done nothing but leak after a very short time. I've tried extra boosting and have ensured that they are on correctly but they still continue to leak. I feel frustrated that I bought so many after they initially seemed such a good option.

Have tended to use birth to potty size before, so was pleasantly surprised with this item as fit was excellent (daughter is 19 months and birth to potty size on smallish side now) really good containment, comfy round legs and really soft. Only reason not 5 stars is that while the insert is really absorbant it wasn't quite enough for my daughters current big wees, so added a thin booster from other little lamb nappy and then perfect! Would defo recommend

Excellent absorbancy and fit
Rating:
13 October 2015  |

I know that these nappies require the purchase of two sizes but I think for the fit and absorbancy they are well worth having in your stash.

We used these as we travelled down France and had no leaks being sat in a car seat.

The only caveat is that the bamboo pads takes quite a while to dry and so if you wanted this to be your only nappy, you will need to consider childcare and whether there would be a need for second inserts.

Brilliant for nursery
Rating:
18 September 2015  |

As my daughter appeared to be the only baby in "real" nappies at her nursery, I wanted to find a nappy that was easy to use and didn't scare them! These nappies are great for nursery as they are so easy to use and the bamboo inserts are the most absorbent I have used so very few leaks. Not as pretty as some of the other nappies on the market but do come in a good range of colours, are really economical, and perfect for people who do not regularly use "real" nappies. I have been using these for over a year now and will more than likely be buying some more for my new baby.

We use these with extra little lamb boosters for night time. Our LO is only 23lb but as she's a heavy wetter then the size 2s were not lasting all night boosted so we tried the 3s and there great! Plenty of growing room too

Soft and cute but too tight
Rating:
20 May 2014  |

This nappy will fit a tall and slim baby. It was too tight for my chubby boy. I love the colours and it looks really nice. I like the fact that the booster is flat and that you fold it by yourself, it minimize the drying time after laundry.

Absolutely love these nappies. Tried close parent pop ins and tots bots two piece nappies and these are definitely my favourite. Fit nicely and don't leak. Not sure what they will be like when baby is between popper sizes but she is nearly 13 lbs now and still using them on the 1st setting mostly, so think we will get lots of use out of these for a while yet

Lovely and soft and comfy for my toddler to wear, nicely absorbant and not too bulky. Easy to wash and dry. Bought at half price to top up, as some of my stash were getting a bit leaky (none of my little lambs though) so also a great price. If I have another baby I'll buy some more. Highly recommended!

Fab nappies
Rating:
30 April 2014  |

I love the bright colours but better still - they do just what a nappy should do! The bamboo is beautifully soft but very absorbent, whilst the fleece inner works to keep my daughters bottom dry. The double gusset on the leg provides a good and leak-free fit whilst the elastic at the back contains what it needs to. I was initially dubious about using a pocket overnight but did so recently after she had fallen asleep while out one evening and was impressed, however, she may need extra boosting when a bit bigger. Overall very happy!

Only used them a couple of times
Rating:
21 April 2014  |

I have only used these nappies a couple of times, not because they leak or are bulky but because they are too big. I bought size 2 as my little one is 12 months but they drown her at the moment. She is very petite, I have tried the size 1 on her but the elastic is too tight around her legs. The absorbency is great but the fit is not.

Of all the nappies I purchased (sized, one size, pocket, all in one's, all in two's...) these are by far my favourite. They tick all the boxes and I have found them to be the most absorbant and best fit for my 7 month, 14lb, slim, long limbed little girl.

Little Lamb pocket nappy size 2
Rating:
26 March 2014  |

I bought two LL pocket nappies to use on our 2.5-year-old son, primarily for childcare (his childminder prefers AiO or pockets). The inserts are excellent, and also fit nicely into our other pockets. The fit of the nappy itself, however, could be better. Our son is quite tall and very slim, and without much in the way to adjust the size it's difficult to get a tight seal around his thighs. Being a bit older and approx 32lb I didn't think it would be so big on him, though we haven't had any leaks yet. We're expecting our second child and I'm not sure how the nappy will fit on a baby at the lower end of the size range, especially if she's skinny like her brother. The inner fleece has bobbled quite badly even after only one wash, and isn't nearly as soft as some of our other pockets (although of course the LL is a lot cheaper). I would like these nappies more if they were a bit more adjustable.
