How they work

Piccalilly Nightgowns are elasticated at the bottom and are simply pulled down over baby's legs and feet, meaning no more annoying and fiddly poppers to battle with half asleep in the dark.

Envelope neck opening for no tears easy dressing.

The nightgowns fit easily over boosted night time cloth nappies.

How many do I need?

I'd aim to have 2-3 of the nightgowns so you've got one in use, one in the wash and one spare/drying.

These also make a lovely gift and are something any parent using cloth nappies or disposables will really appreciate.

Our night time discovery

We were given nightgowns as a baby gift from my brother in Law in America when we had our second child.

Baby nightgowns or smocks are really common in the US but are virtually impossible to find on the High Street in the UK.

They were the best present we were ever given and made night time nappy changes so much quicker and simpler for our second and third child, I really wish we knew about them when we had our first!

Nappy changing gown

A friend recommended something similar to this. It is handy for the lack of poppers, and it's very long length makes it still cosy despite not being closed. It is slightly less faff than opening poppers and getting legs in and out. I like it, it does what it says and it is a pleasent print and fabric. All that said, I have not found myself moving it up the rotation in preference to sleep suits.

Lovely soft cotton, pretty design, keeps the baby's legs covered but still allowing kicking room and makes night-time nappy changes so much simpler than sleepsuits !

these are soft and well made but a bit on the huge side especially at the shoulders for smaller babies - probably better for bigger or older babies not my slender 10 week boy just yet - but they feel and look lovely and are very practical if you have to do night changes

Love the idea of these. They are super soft & well made. Easy to put on & will be invaluable. My baby is 7lb 6 oz & they drown him unfortunately. The neck is very big & even with a vest on he ended up cold. I will have to wait for him to grow but hopefully by then he will be sleeping through. 5 stars if they were a little smaller or a choice of sizes , say 0-3 months.

We were bought these as a gift from my sister. They made night time changes an absolute breeze. No more fiddly babygro poppers. We kept baby in these until 9months old as made night changes so simple.
