Eucalan Delicate Wash uses lanolin as a natural fabric conditioner. Eucalan is NOT for use with reusable nappies due to the lanolin.
We stock Eucalan for use as a shampoo for wool nappy wraps and other household washing. it is suitable for natural and synthetic fibres including all your delicates (just not nappies!)
Eucalan Delicate Wash Overview
Eucalan No Rinse Delicate Wash is pH neutral and ideal for handwashing or machine washing. It is suitable for either a front loading machine as we have in the UK or a top loading machine.
Eucalan is a no-rinse wash, meaning that the formula delicately releases dirt into the wash basin, cleaning fabric without the need of a final rinse through. Though the fabric absorbs a little of the soap (which is why it's not suitable for use with reusable nappies) this has beneficial properties. The Lanolin fortifies & conditions clothing fibres.
Additionally, some of the pure quality essential oils used for our scents, are naturally anti-bacterial or moth-inhibiting. These are intended to remain in the clothing to further benefit from. If you still feel you want to rinse, it is safe to do so. The soap has done its job of cleaning, though you will lose the lasting effects of the lanolin & essential oils.
Why do I need special wool shampoo?
The chemical structure of wool is very similar to human hair so just like with hair washing you should only use gentle cleaning products. Wool is especially sensitive to soap (alkalines). The structure of its fibres makes wool especially sensitive to heat, friction and strong chemicals, so care needs to be taken when washing woollen products.
Wool naturally repels dirt and neutralises odours and liquids. Due to these natural properties of wool, woollen items only need to be washed occassionally and are just aired inbetween washes.

Jasmine
Jasmine Essential Oil: Jasmine oil is a natural antiseptic making it perfectly suited for your most delicate fibres. Of all Eucalan options, this is our strongest scent and has quickly become a fan favourite. Wrap your delicates in an aphrodisiac with the intoxicating scent of Jasmine.

Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus Essential Oil: Eucalyptus oil is a natural moth and flea inhibitor, so use Eucalan Eucalyptus regularly on woolens and particularly before storing them for the season. This fresh, clean scent is an excellent unisex choice.

Unscented
Eucalan’s Natural Unscented Delicate Wash is the same trusted formula without essential oils. It is Eucalan – bare naked, with no added chemicals to hide the natural scent of the product. It is the preferred wash for those with scent sensitivities.
